Chips are code bits used for spreading the desired signal. Chips are called so as they do not carry any useful information and to distinguish them from data (bits).
I have been in Telecom testing for last 5 years. I have gained varied expertise by handling different projects and working closely with customers through onsite and offshore assignments. I have worked as a Team Lead as well as an individual tester.
Currently I am working in Mtree Software Pvt. Ltd., a start-up organization working for Scalable Networks USA that deals in high-fidelity evaluation software for predicting network performance, namely Qualnet and Exata.I have worked here as a Team Lead for projects like UMTS QA, EXata testing, Antenna QA and Build and Release testing. I have also worked as an individual tester for some other projects. My present assignment is testing of EXata for multicast support.
In UMTS, I have worked on Layer 1 and Layer 2 (RLC and MAC).
Prior to Mtree, I was in Aricent for more than 3 years, working for clients Nokia in offshore project and Alcatel Shanghai Bell on onsite project. I have worked there in GSM technology at various levels of BSS testing.
